CHARITIES WE WORK WITH
Alexandra Education Committee (AEC)
The AEC is a wonderful NPO that believes “true potential is released through education”. Their purpose is to provide underprivileged school children with academic and psycho-social support. Top performers are granted bursaries for their entire high school career.
South African Improved Learning Initiative (SAILI)
SAILI is an organisation that believes in “improving the core of the public education system by utilising sustainable techniques”. They identify academically talented students at low-income schools where the system is working well and provide support to students throughout their high school careers. By focusing on high-performing low-income schools, they can financially assist more children.
Aslina Wines, Ntsiki Biyela, and the Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA)
Ntsiki Bayela was the first black, female winemaker in South Africa. After graduating, she started her own winery, Aslina Wines, in 2016. Ultra Liquors has worked closely with the award-winning winery and winemaker since its inception. Ntsiki is a board member of the PYDA which provides technical training and assists in the personal development of children with job placement in the Cape Winelands.
South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA)
SANCA is an organisation that aims to address the systemic issues related to alcohol and substance abuse in South Africa at its core. The organisation aims to successfully help those who have been affected by alcohol and substance abuse – both those who are the users, and those who are connected to them.
Raising Consciousness
Raising Consciousness is a substance abuse awareness programme that is run in Masiphumelele, Western Cape. Through educational programmes and workshops, they hope to create a greater awareness for young people to understand and recognise the differences between use, abuse, and addiction.
Inyosi Empowerment
Inyosi Empowerment is a service provider with a mission to create sustainable economic transformation. They identify and partner with qualifying black-owned small, medium, and micro-enterprises and provide them with access to funding, markets, and skills development. Furthermore, they connect with corporate investors and assist them in meeting their Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment goals.
Footprints 4 Sam
Footprints 4 Sam is an amazing organisation that assists underprivileged families with children who are living with life limiting conditions. Through the work of 6 initiatives, they aim to cultivate a healthcare culture of swift and broad-based intervention, improve early diagnosis, and attain achievable family centred solutions.
